Ilang ahensya ng gobyerno, sumailalim sa cybersecurity training program ng US gov’t

Inilunsad ng pamahalaan ng Amerika ang inaugural cybersecurity training program nito sa bansa para makatulong sa pagpapalakas sa information and communications technology at logistics infrastructure ng Pilipinas.

Ito ay ang Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP) Training and Certification Program ng United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Sumabak sa paglulunsad ng pagsasanay ang 17 opisyal ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Finance (DOF), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), at Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

Ayon kay USAID Philippines Deputy Director of the Office of Economic Development and Governance Eric Florimon-Reed, ang matatag at competitive na digital ecosystem ay mahalagang bahagi ng economic growth ng Pilipinas.

Target ng USAID na makapagsanay ng 2,000 government personnel sa cybersecurity sa susunod na apat na taon.

Idinisenyo ang programa para matulungan ang mga tauhan ng gobyerno na mas mauunawaan ang information security.

Bukod sa in-person training, may access ang trainees sa online lessons, review materials, mock exams, at voucher para sa bayad sa CISSP examination.

Ang CISSP certification ang gold standard para sa information security certification.
