(Eagle News)- Ayon sa Malacanang nitong Martes, Setyembre 15, kinumpirma na tinanggap ni President Benigno S. Aquino III ang resignation ni Secretary Francis Pangilinan bilang Presidential Assistant for Food Security and Agricultural Modernization.

Heto ang statement ni Communication Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. tungkol dito.

“According to the Office of the Executive Secretary, the resignation of Presidential Assistant for Food Security and Agricultural Modernization (PAFSAM) Secretary Francis Pangilinan has been accepted by the President effective 30 September 2015,” ayon kay Coloma.

“The President expressed his sincerest appreciation to Secretary Pangilinan for his contribution to the government during his stint as PAFSAM and wished him the best in his future endeavors,” dagdag niya.

Ayon sa mga reports, plano ni Pangilinan na tumakbo sa senado sa susunod na eleksyon.

Hinirang ni President Aquino si Senator Panilinan bilang Presidential Assistant for Food Security noon May 2014 upang pangasiwahan ang National Food Authority, National Irrigation Authority, Philippines Coconut Authority, at ang Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority.
