Hinahanap na ng Malaysian rescuers ang tatlong nawawalang crew members mula sa nasunog na oil tanker, sa timugang baybayin ng bansa.

Sa isang pahayag ay sinabi ng Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA), na nabalot ng maitim at makapal na usok ang Gabon-flagged ship nang sumiklab ang sunog habang bumibiyahe ito mula China patungong Singapore.

Ayon sa Singaporean authorities, ang barko ay ang MT Pablo.

Sinabi ng isang Malaysian official, na naapula na ang apoy at nakalutang naman ang sasakyang-dagat na walang panganib na dulot sa mga dumaraang barko.

Iniligtas ng dalawang kalapit na barko at isang maritime agency boat ang crew members ng MT Pablo.

Ayon kay MMEA official Nurul Hizam Zakaria, “The search is now focused on finding the remaining three crew members.”

Samantala, iniimbestigahan na ang insidente ayon sa MMEA.
