7.3-magnitude na lindol, tumama sa Indonesia
Isang magnitude 7.3 na lindol ang tumama sa eastern Indonesia ngayong Martes, ayon sa US Geological Survey (USGS).
Pahayag ng USGS, ang lindol ay tumama sa nasa 100 kilometro hilaga ng bayan ng Maumere sa lalim na 18.5 kilometro (11 milya), sa Flores Sea.
Ayon sa Pacific Tsunami Warning Center . . . “Hazardous waves are possible for coasts located within 1,000 km (600 miles) of the quake epicentre.”
Sinabi naman ng USGS . . . “The chance of casualties was low. But recent earthquakes in this area have caused secondary hazards such as tsunamis and landslides that might have contributed to losses.”
Ang Indonesia ay malimit dalawin ng mga paglindol at pagputok ng bulkan, dahil sa puwesto nito sa Pacitic ” Ring of Fire.” (AFP)
