BFP Modernization, ganap nang batas

Nilagdaan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang RA 11589 o ang Act Strengthening and Modernizing the Bureau of Fire Protection.

Sa kaniyang talumpati sa Rizal Hall ng Malacañang Palace, sinabi ng Pangulo na layon ng batas na matiyak na mayroong mahuhusay na bumbero ang bansa, sapat na fire trucks, personal protective equipment, at iba pang kakailanganing gamit upang magampanan ang kanilang trabaho.

Sa pamamagitan ng nasabing batas, magkakaroon ng transformation ang BFP patungo sa isang moderno at world-class institution na maipagmamalaki ng Pilipinas.

Part of speech of PRRD:

“The Bureau of Fire Protection has been instrumental in the success of our collective efforts to provide rescue and relief operations in areas hit by destructive fire and calamities“.

Ang RA 11589 ay bahagi ng priority measures ng Duterte administration.

Sa pamamagitan din nito, mapapalawak ang mandato ng BFP kabilang ang fire prevention, suppression sa economic zones, disaster risk response, at emergency management.
