NEW YORK, United States (AFP) – Umabante na sa 2nd round ng US Open ang world number one na si Novak Djokovic ng Serbia, matapos talunin ang Danish teen qualifier na si Holger Rune sa score na 6-1, 6-7 (5/7), 6-2, 6-1.

Tatangkain ni Djokovic na manalo sa US Open para makumpleto ang una niyang men’s singles calendar-year Grand Slam, at makuha ang men’s career record na 21 major titles.

Ayon kay Djokovic . . . “You have tons of expectations and pressure from just the whole tennis community, including myself. Obviously, I would like myself to win the title and make the history. Without a doubt that’s something that inspires me.”

. . “It wasn’t the best of my performamces, at the same time Rune played well in the second set when it mattered and I didn’t serve well in the second set.”
