Pagkakatalaga kay Retired Gen. Antonio Parlade sa NSC, binatikos

Dismayado ang ilang Senador sa pagkakakatalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kay Retired Lt. General Antonio Parlade sa National Security Council.

Kuwestyon ni Senador Risa Hontiveros na bakit tila naging commitment na ng Pangulo ang mag-recycle at magtalaga ng mga opisyal na aniya ay may masamang ugali at nagbibigay ng kahihiyan sa gobyerno.

Nangangamba ang Senador na ang pagkakatalaga kay Parlade sa NSC ay magdudulot lamang ng National insecurity at instability.

Marami naman aniyang mas kwalipikado sa posisyon at hindi gaya ni Parlade na nagkakalat umano ng fake news at nagre-red tag sa mga organizers ng community pantry at mga celebrity.

Senador Hontiveros:

“I do not understand at all why President Duterte is so committed to recycling disgraced officials to new government posts and rewarding bad behavior among public employees. I worry that General Parlade’s appointment to the National Security Council (NSC) will only cause national insecurity and instability, given his previous actions. We have many officers qualified to serve as Deputy Director-General of the NSC who are not spreading fake news and red-tagging everything from community pantries to celebrities. Bakit ito pang si General Parlade ang napili”?
