PRRD, nagbabala ng Constitutional crisis dahil sa banggaan ng Malakanyang at Senado sa isyu ng korapsyon

Inakusahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Senador Richard Gordon, Chairman ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee na umaabuso na sa kapangyarihan sa ginagawang imbestigasyon sa umano’y katiwalian sa pagbili ng Department of Health at Procurement Service ng Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) ng mga personal protective equipment.

Sa kaniyang weekly regular Talk to the People, sinabi ng Pangulo na inatasan na niya si Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea na maglabas ng kautusan sa lahat ng opisyal ng gobyerno na nasa ilalim ng Executive Department na huwag sundin ang summon ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee para dumalo sa imbestigasyon.

Ayon sa Pangulo, hindi malayong mauwi na sa constituional crisis ang walang katapusang imbestigasyon ng Senado sa kabila na wala naman umanong napapatunayang katiwalian ang mga Senador sa usapin ng pagbili ng DOH at PSDBM ng mga PPE.

Inihayag ng Pangulo bilang Commander-in-Chief, aatasan niya ang militar at pulisya na huwag sundin si Gordon kung gagamitin ang mga ito para tulungan ang Sergeant at Arms ng Senado na arestuhin ang mga opisyal ng gobyerno na pinatawan ng contempt dahil sa hindi pagdalo sa imbestigasyon ng Senado.

“I said that you have gone out of bounds amounting to lack of jurisdiction. So sabihin ko sa sergeant-at-arms ngayon, do not ever attempt to arrest anybody kasi ikaw ang arestuhin ko. Ngayon, you will order the police and the military to help the sheriff. Ako naman as Commander-in-Chief of all uniformed personnel of government, I am ordering the police and the military and everybody to stay out of this trouble. Huwag kayong sumali, huwag kayong sumunod kasi may crisis na tayo”.

“There will be a time maybe which… I am just afraid that you will have to intervene pero huwag muna ngayon because it’s just a brewing. And ako kasi grave abuse of discretion, the exercise of — is a grave abuse of discretion amounting to lack of jurisdiction na. Sinobrahan mo eh. So ‘pag sinobrahan mo, away na tayo”.

“Now, mag-order ka ng sergeant-at-arms mo, sino man kasama niya? Isa lang man ‘yan. So you will order the police. So I’m ordering the police not to obey you. You may resort to using the military, and sabihin ko sa military, “Stay out.” My order is you stay put. Huwag kayong sumunod sa order ni Gordon kasi he is now treading on dangerous grounds”.
