Posibleng umupo na sa Hunyo bilang kalihim ng Department of Interior and Local Government si AFP Chief of Staff General Eduardo Año, matapos siyang italaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Sinabi ni Año na wala pang announcement mula sa Malacanang kung kailan siya mag-a- assume bilang DILG Chief, pero posible na mapapa-aga ang kaniyang pagreretiro sa military service.
Sa Oktubre pa ng kasalukuyang taon ang retirement ni Año.
Binigyang-diin ng heneral na hinihintay pa nito ang go signal ng Pangulo, pero nakahanda na siyang pamunuan ang departamento.
Papalitan ng heneral ang sinibak na kalihim na si iImael Sueno.
