Rollout ng tatlong pangunahing cybersecurity programs sinimulan na ng DICT
Sinimulan na ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), ang rollout ng tatlong pangunahing cybersecurity programs para palakasin pa ang proteksyon ng mga sistema ng pamahalaan laban sa cyber threats.
Ito ang Bug Bounty Program, DICT Trusted Assessment Provider o D-TAP framework, at Cybersecurity Posture Assessment Laboratory o CPAL.
Ayon kay DICT Undersecretary Julius Gorospe, layon ng mga programang ito na ilipat ang sistema mula sa simpleng pagtugon sa cyber incidents tungo sa maagap at sistematikong pag-iwas sa mga banta.
Ani Gorospe, “We are moving beyond reacting to cyber incidents. These programs institutionalize proactive security, thereby protecting government systems and the Filipino people who depend on them.”
Sa ilalim ng Bug Bounty Program, hinihikayat ang mga ethical hacker na i-report ang mga kahinaan sa mga government system upang agad itong matugunan.
Sa pamamagitan naman ng D-TAP, ina-accredit ng DICT ang mga cybersecurity firms na magsasagawa ng security audit at pagsusuri sa mga digital platform ng pamahalaan.
Sabi pa ni Gorospe, “Through D-TAP, the DICT accredits trusted cybersecurity firms authorized to conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits, ensuring that government platforms and critical infrastructure meet rigorous technical and ethical standards.”
Samantala, sinabi ni DICT Cybersecurity Director George Tardio na ang CPAL ay magsasagawa ng regular na pagsusuri sa cybersecurity posture ng mga ahensya upang maagang matukoy ang mga kahinaan at mapalakas ang depensa laban sa cyberattacks.
Dagdag pa niya, mahalaga ang pagtutulungan ng pamahalaan at pribadong sektor upang makabuo ng mas ligtas at matatag na digital environment para sa bansa.
Ayon kay Tardio, “Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility. By engaging ethical hackers, accrediting trusted assessors, and institutionalizing posture assessments, we are building a resilient digital ecosystem for the country.”
