Sa June 2 sana nakatakdang bumaba sa kanyang pwesto ang opisyal para italaga bilang bagong kalihim sa Department of Interior and Local Government.
Ipinaliwanag ng Pangulo na mahalaga ang papel na gagampanan niAaño sa pagpapanumbalik ng katahimikan sa Mindanao bilang administrador ng Martial Law.
Sa kanyang nilagdaang kautusan, sinabi ni Duterte na posible ring mapalawig ang 60-day implementation ng Martial Law sa Mindanao.
