Eroplano ng Korean Air, nag-overshoots sa runway ng Cebu International Airport

Isang eroplano ng Korean Air ang nag-overshoot sa runway habang papalapag sa Cebu International Airport, sanhi upang ipasara ang ikalawang pinakaabalang paliparan sa Pilipinas.

Sa ulat ay sinabi ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), na lahat ng 173 mga pasahero at crew ng Korean Air flight KE631 na galing sa Incheon, ay ligtas namang nailikas matapos mag-overshoot ang Airbus A330 aircraft sa runway.

Yaong mga nagtamo ng minor injuries ay dinala sa klinika ng paliparan upang gamutin.

Ayon kay Glenn Napuli, assistant general manager ng paliparan, isinara muna ito at inaasikaso na rin ng mga awtoridad ang pagpapabalik sa mga biyahe. Nagsasagawa na rin aniya ng imbestigayon sa sanhi ng aksidente.

Humingi naman ng dispensa si Korean Air president Woo Kee-hong, at nangakong magsasagawa ng “thorough investigation” kapwa ang mga awtoridad sa Pilipinas at Korea.

Pahayag ni Woo sa website ng kompanya, “We always prioritise safety in all of our operations, and we truly regret the stress and inconvenience brought to our passengers.”
