Ang heatwave ngayon sa India ang pinakamatagal na naranasan sa bansa ayon sa mataas na weather expert, at nagbabala sa publiko na mahaharap pa sila sa mas mainit na panahon.
Ang ilang bahagi ng hilagang India ay naapektuhan ng heatwave mula pa noong kalagitnaan ng Mayo, na may mga temperatura na tumataas nang higit sa 45 degrees Celsius (113 degrees Fahrenheit).
Sinabi ni Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, pinuno ng Meteorological Department (IMD) ng India, “This has been the longest spell because it has been experienced for about 24 days in different parts of the country.”
