Daan-daang Bangladeshi firefighters ang pinakilos sa Dhaka, kapitolyo ng Bangladesh upang apulahin ang malaking sunog na sumiklab sa isang popular na clothing market, sanhi para mabalot ng maitim na usok ang lugar.

Wala pa namang napaulat na casualties, ngunit ayon sa shop owners at fire officials, halos lubusang natupok ang Bongo Bazar market at tatlong katabing commercial precincts.

Sinabi ni fire department spokesman Rakibul Islam, na nasa 600 mga bumbero ang nagtulong-tulong sa pag-apula sa sunog.

Ayon naman sa isang military spokesman, tumulong na rin ang isang air force helicopter sa pag-apula sa sunog.

Makikita sa isang aerial footage mula sa naturang helicopter, ang daan-daang kataong nag-uusyoso sa nangyayari mula sa kalapit na overpass.

Ang pamilihan ay isang sikat na bilihan ng murang Western fashion brands gaya ng Tommy Hilfiger, mga damit na gawa sa garment factories ng siyudad ngunit hindi nakapasa sa export standards.
