Milyong katao sa buong mundo, namamatay dahil sa Non-Communicable diseases-W.H.O.

Magtutulung-tulong ang Local Government units o LGU’s, Non-Governmental Organization o NGO’s at mga Health advocate upang pababain ang kaso ng non-communicable diseases o NCD’s sa bansa.

Ang proyekto ay pangungunahan ng Quezon City local government kung saan inaprubahan na ang ordinansa na tinawag na “Anti-Junk food and Sugary drinks”.

Kabilang sa NCD’s ay Cardiovascular diseases, Cancer, Diabetes at Chronic respiratory diseases.

Ayonk ay Dr. Verdades Linga, City Health officer III ng Q.C., naglalayon ang nasabing ordinansa na sugpuin at labanan ang mga nagiging sanhi ng NCD’s sa bansa.

“If you really loved the children, for them to have a productive life in the future, simulan na natin ngayon, hindi yung nagagamot tayo ng Hypertension kung kailan na tayo 40’s or 30’s. Ang do you know that hypertension and stroke as early as 20’s meron na…so why? Because you knoe these are the Non-Communicable diseases, Sugary drinks which might lead to Diabetes, Type 2 Mellitus, Hypertension, later lead to Stroke and other diseases”.

Samantala, sa datos ng WHO, 75% ng kamatayan ng mga Filipino ay sanhi ng NCD’s.

Sa buong mundo, 404 milyong katao taun-taon ang namamatay dahil din sa nasabing sakit.
