Kinumpirma ng National Food Authority na tuloy pa rin ang pag-aangkat ng bigas ngayong taon bilang augmentation sa domestic supply.
Sa inilabas na statement ng tanggapan ni Secretary Leoncio Evasco, aangkat ng bigas sa pamamagitan ng government to private transactions.
Apat na tranches ang inaasahan ng gobyerno ,batay sa schedule, ang unang 30 percent ng aangkating bigas ay darating sa bansa mula August hanggang September ng taong ito.
Ang balanse ay darating naman mula December hanggang February 2018
