Hindi man naiuwi ng Pilipinas ang korona sa katatapos na 70th Miss Universe beauty pageant na ginanap sa bansang Israel ipinagmalaki ng Malakanyang ang naging performance ni Beatrice Luigi Gomez.
Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Secretary Karlo Alexi Nograles, naitanyag parin ni Gomez ang talento at kagandahan ng mga Pilipina sa buong mundo dahil pasok naman ito sa top 5 finalist.

Ayon kay Nograles,maipagmamalaki parin natin si Gomez sa karangalang dala nito bilang kinatawan ng Pilipinas sa international beauty competition.
