Petisyon laban sa SIM registration, ibinasura ng SC

Walang ipinalabas na temporary restraining order (TRO) ang Korte Suprema laban sa implementasyon ng mandatory SIM card registration.

Ayon kay Supreme Court Spokesperson Atty. Brian Keith Hosaka, sa sesyon ng mga mahistrado nitong Martes ay ibinasura ang hirit na TRO para pigilan ang SIM card registration.

Sa halip, inatasan lang ng SC ang mga respondent na maghain ng komento sa petisyon sa loob ng 10 araw.

Kasama sa mga respondent ang National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Education (DepEd), at mga telcos.

Sa petisyon ay hiniling din ng petitioners na ideklara na labag sa Saligang Batas ang SIM card registration law.
