PRRD, lalahok sa virtual session ng UN General Assembly

Sasali si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa High-Level General Debate ng 76th Session ng United Nations General Assembly sa September 21 hanggang 27.

Ayon sa Malakanyang, magsasalita ang Pangulo sa unang araw ng sesyon sa September 21, alas-4:00 ng hapon hanggang alas-6:00 ng gabi, oras sa New York o alas-4:00 hanggang alas-6:00 ng umaga oras sa Pilipinas, September 22.

Tatalakayin ng Pangulo ang posisyon ng Pilipinas sa global issues of key concerns partikular ang universal access sa COVID-19 vaccines, climate change, human rights, kasama na ang sitwasyon ng mga migrant workers at refugees, at international and regional security developments.

Ang United Nations General Assembly ang main deliberating body ng UN kung saan dinadaluhan ng 193 Member States. Si President Abdulla Shahid ng Maldives at incoming President ng 76th United Nations General Assembly ang manngunguna sa pulong.

Tema ngayong taon sa UN General Assembly ang “Building resilience through hope – to recover from COVID-19, rebuild sustainably, respond to the needs of the planet, respect the rights of people, and revitalize the United Nations.”
