Mahigit 1,500 flights kinansela dahil sa strike ng French air traffic controllers

Mahigit sa 1,500 flights ang kinansela at halos 300,000 mga pasahero ang naapektuhan, nang magsagawa ng dalawang welga (July 3 & July 4) ang French air traffic controllers, na lubhang nakaapekto sa summer travel vacation travel sa buong Europe.

Ang welga ay nakasabayan ng “Grand Dpart” ng France, na isang peak holiday travel period.

Ayon sa mga ulat, kabilang sa pinakamatinding naapektuhan ay ang Ryanair at easyJet.

Ang Ryanair ay nagkansela ng 170 flights, na nakaapekto sa tinatayang 30,000 mga biyahero, habang ang easyJet naman ay nagkansela ng 274 flights.

Sa isang pahayag ay sinabi ng European industry lobby Airlines for Europe, “Airlines for Europe (A4E) strongly condemns the French air traffic control (ATC) strike taking place today and tomorrow.”

Dagdag pa nito, “Tens of thousands of travellers in France and across Europe have seen their summer getaway grounded as French air-traffic controllers walk out during the Grand Départ; one of the busiest periods for summer travel.”

Apektado ng kanselasyon ngayong Biyernes, ang 40% ng flights sa Charles de Gaulle, Orly at Beauvais airports, 40% sa Nice at 30% sa Marseille, Lyon at ilan pang mga siyudad.
