SP Pimentel, binuweltahan ng LP hindi sila maaring diktahan at maging sunud sunuran sa Malacanang
Tila nauwi na sa wordwar ang sagutan nina Senate President Aquilino Pimentel at LP President Senator Francis Pangilinan.
Una nang hinamon ni Pimentel ang Liberal Party na kondenahin ang mga nagsampa ng impeachment complaint laban kay Pangulong Duterte kung talagang hindi sila ang nasa likod ng mga pagkilos laban sa Pangulo.
“If they are really not behind this impeachment, they should denounce. Denounce the impeachment against Duterte, denounce the people behind the impeachment against Duterte.—- kasi ayaw nila nang politika. Sabi nila “concentrate on the real problems of the country”…nag file ng impeachment, tumahimik sila. That distracts us from the real problems of the country. Agree ko naman sa kanila. I don’t know the truth. Let them tell the truth…who is behind this and that they have nothing to do with it”. –SP Pimentel
Pero sagot ng Liberal Party, walang karapatan si Pimentel na diktahan ang Partido.
Sa isang statement, sinabi ni Pangilinan na hindi sila puppet na magiging sunud-sunuran sa gobyerno at wala silang kinalaman sa paghahain ng reklamo laban sa Pangulo.
Hindi aniya maaring ipanakot ni Pimentel ang pagtatanggal sa natitirang committee chairmanship na ginawa ng kaniyang mga kaalyado at wala silang balak na magpadikta sa gobyerno.
“Who is he to tell us what to do? Hindi lang siya ang halal na senador. Hindi kami ang nasa likod nung impeachment complaint pero hindi rin kami mga tutang sunud-sunuran ..Koko et al stripped us of our committee chairmanships for not toeing the admin line on extra judicial killings, the Marcos burial, the Lascañas and BID hearings and then he expects us to denounce the impeachment proceedings to prove to him we aren’t behind the filing of the complaint?”. – Sen.
