Agri training program ilulunsad ng gobyerno ng Israel sa bansa
Plano ng Israel na palakasin pa ang agricultural training program sa Pilipinas, para maabot pa ang ibang probinsiya sa bansa.
Ito ang inihayag ni Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines Ilan Fluss, kasabay ng kaniyang pagbisita sa tanggapan ng NET25.
Ayon kay Ambassador Fluzz, positibo sila na ang bagong inisyatiba ay daan upang ang Israel ay makapagbigay ng karagdagang kaalaman sa mga Pilipino tungkol sa pagtatanim ng high-value crops, mga prutas, gulay at iba pa.
Isang agro studies program din ang inilunsad ng Israel Embassy, kung saan 700 Pinoy interns ang kukunin sa pamamagitan ng isang partnership sa Technical Education and Skills Development Authority o TESDA.
Ayon kay Ambassador Fluss, “This is only two weeks ago, we signed in an agreement with the Department of Agriculture on the agricultural training Institute, ATI, where this year, in October will have 50, interns going from ATI to this program and then coming back to ATI. So what we are actually doing is making a full full package where we have testa, we are GG, we are depos of agriculture, and sending 700 interns to Israel, 11 months, then when they come back, they can really contribute to the agriculture sector and bring a different approach.”
Tatagal ang programa ng 11 buwan at kapapalooban ito ng hands on training na limang araw kada isang linggo, kung saan ang isang araw dito ay para sa academic studies.
Iginiit din ni Fluss na ang programa ay may layuning magkaroon ng pagbabago sa mindset, at maibahagi ang mga makabagong farming techniques sa iba’t ibang areas.
Aniya, “Different approaches that are coming from any scientific on the view, where everything has to be measured, we need to learn, then we need to understand how to do in order to improve. So, you know, how can you have a dy in the desert? So you have sprinklers or you have mist and have you have the fans, you make sure that the gas is dry, many, many smallings, not always a very expensive end of the day are a bit more expensive, but when you have more milk, you sell more.”
Para mapalawak pa ang inisyatiba, lumagda sa isang kasunduan ang Israel Embassy at Agricultural Training Istitute, habang ang local government units naman (LGUs) ay hinikayat nilang magpadala ng karagdagang trainees para sa programa.
Hindi kailangang estudyante ang mga magiging participant, pero maaaring magmula ito sa mga proyekto ng local government at private sector. Ang TESDA naman ay handang ikonsidera ang reintegration support para sa mga returning intern, upang matulungana ng mga ito sa kanilang proposed business plans.
Nakahanda rin ang Israeli government na makipagtulungan sa private companies para maisulong pa ang programa.
Ayon kay Ambassador Fluss, “I talked about the two angles, so one side private sector on the other government. So absolutely the answer is yes, and we are assisting Israeli private companies who come into the Philippine market. There is a strategic partnership between the Metrop Pacific group and an Israeli agricultural company, and they went into the strategic partnership, focusing on at this stage, on dairy farming, and on a vegetable production in greenhouses.”
