Aguilar at Caringal ginawang deputy CDMs sa Hangzhou Asian Games

Idinagdag ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) sina Alvin Aguilar (wrestling) at Donaldo Caringal (volleyball), bilang deputy chefs de mission (CDMs) sa Hangzhou 19th Asian Games na nakatakdang magbukas, sa loob ng 42 araw.

Ang appointments ni Aguilar, pangulo ng Wrestling Association of the Philippines, at Caringal, secretary-general ng Philippine National Volleyball Federation, ay aprubado ni POC president Rep. Abraham Tolentino

Sinabi ni Tolentino, na ang dalawang additional slots para sa deputy CDM ay ini-alok sa POC ng Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee.

Makakasama nina Aguilar at Caringal sina sepak takraw head Karen Tanchanco-Caballero at ice skating chief Nikki Cheng bilang deputies ni chef de mission Leyte 4th District Rep. Richard Gomez ng fencing at modern pentathlon.

Ayon kay Tolentino, “The task of the CDM’s office in Hangzhou is not an easy one, considering the size of our delegation and the competition venues.”

Ang team Philippines ay binubuo ng 395 mga atleta na lalaban sa 37 sports sa Asian Games na gaganapin mula Sept. 23 hanggang Oct. 8.

Ang mga kumpetisyon ay idaraos ng Hangzhou, ang ikatlong Chinese city na magho-host sa mga laro pagkatapos ng Beijing (1990) at Guangzhou (2010), sa 44 na venues, kabilang ang Hangzhou Olympic Sports Expo Center at Deqing, Jinhua, Ningbo, Shaoxing at Wenzhou.
