HRep Session, balik na sa F2F pag inalis na ni PBBM ang Public Health Emergency On COVID-19

Hinihintay na lamang ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso ang pag-alis ng Office of the President (OP) at Department of Health (DOH) sa Public Health Emergency para tuluyang magbalik ang face to face session.

Ayon kay House Secretary General Reginald Velasco, oras na i-lift ang public health emergency status ng COVID-19  ay magiging mandatory na ang personal na pagdalo ng mga kongresista sa mga pag-dinig sa komite at session sa Kamara.

“ Hopefully when the time comes, when the pandemic is over, officially declared by the Office of the President and the Department of Health agrees with it, then Congress will abide by that “ ani Velasco.

Sinabi pa ni Velasco na may ilang komite ang nagsimula na sa face to face committee hearings.

Ayon kay Velasco, noong kasagsagan ng COVID-19 pandemic ay pinahintulutan ng Kamara ang hybrid set-up kung saan maaaring dumalo ang mga mambabatas via tele o video conferencing sa committee hearings at plenary sessions bilang pagtalima sa health protocols.

Dagdag pa ng opisyal, mananatili muna ang hybrid set-up, kahit pa sa araw ng pagbubukas ng 2nd regular session at State of the Nation Address ( SONA ) ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa July 24.

Nauna nang inihayag ni Velasco na sa pagbubukas ng 2nd regular session ng 19th Congress ay optional na ang pagsusuot ng facemask at hindi  na rin mandatory ang antigen test.
