Red Cross maniningil sa mga nais magpaturok ng Moderna vaccine

Maniningil ang Philippine Red Cross (PRC) ng 3,500 piso sa dalawang doses ng Moderna vaccine sa lahat ng nais magpaturok nito.

Ayon kay Senador Richard Gordon, Chairman ng PRC, inaasahan nilang darating na sa Hulyo ang unang batch sa biniling 200,000 doses ng Moderna na sapat para sa may 100,000 katao.

Pero paglilinaw ng Senador, wala silang planong pagkakitaan ang bakuna kundi nais lang umano nilang mabawi ang ginastos sa pagbili nito.

Ang gastos rin aniya ay para sa mga gagamiting Personal Protective Equipment at mga magtuturok ng bakuna.

Senador Gordon:

“I’d like to set the record straight. Right now, we will be charging ₱3,500 to recover the cost of our payment of our vaccines from Moderna. But at the same time pay for our administrative cost. We have to have PPEs, we have to have our people fed and they have to have support in terms of the vaccination. If you count the other things like electricity and the ambulance, etc., I think that’s a fair thing do”.

Handa rin aniya sila magturok ng AstraZeneca at Sinovac vaccine pero ito ay ibibigay ng libre pero posibleng sa 2022 pa ito maidedeliver.

Sa ngayon, binigyan aniya sila ng Gobyerno ng 1. 5 doses ng AstraZeneca para agad maiturok sa mga volunteers at iba pang nasa vulnerable sector.

Ito’y bilang tulong sa gobyerno para mabilis na maabot ang Herd immunity at mapigilan na ang hawahan ng virus.
