Rule of law nanaig sa desisyon ng Makati RTC Branch 148 sa kaso ni Senador Antonio Trillanes – Senador Franklin Drilon
Pinuri ng mga senador ang desisyon ni Judge Andres Soriano na nagbabasura sa hirit ng Department of Justice na buhayin ang kasong kudeta na kinakaharap ni Senador Antonio Trillanes.
Ayon kay Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon, nabuhayan sila ng pag asa dahil nanaig pa rin ang rule of law
Nagpakita aniya ng pagiging independent si Judge Andres Soriano sa kabila ng umanoy pangha harass ng Malacanang.
Ang resolusyon aniya ng Makati RTC ay makakatulong para maibalik ang stability ng korte sa bansa.
I am relieved by the decision of RTC Judge Andres Soriano rejecting the attempts of the administration to harass opposition Senator Antonio Trillanes.
Soriano’s decision reinforces our belief that at the end of the day the rule of law will prevail and no amount of underhanded legal maneuvering will be rewarded by an independent judiciary.
Naniniwala rin si Senador Francis Escudero na anuman ang rason ni Judge Soriano, katunayan lamang ito na buhay pa rin ang demokrasya at gumagana pa rin ang justice system.
Whatever the judge’s reasoning is, it proves that our justice system is functioning and is alive and well. It also proves that our democracy and republican system of government that mandates the separation of powers between the executive, judiciary and legislative branches.
