Super majority mananatili sa Kamara

Mananatili pa rin ang super majority sa Kamara de Representante matapos lumagda ng pakikipag-alyansa sa Lakas – Christian Muslim Democrat (Lakas-CMD) ang lima pang major political parties sa Kamara.
Sa isang seremonya, lumagda sa kasunduan ng pakikipag-alyansa sa Lakas-CMD ang Partido Demokratiko Pilipino – Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-LABAN), Nacionalista Party (NP), Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), National Unity Party (NUP), at Partylist Coalition Foundation Inc. (PCFI).
Sinabi ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez, na ang alliance agreement sa pagitan ng major political parties ay magpapatatag sa liderato ng Kamara na susuporta sa mga socio-economic agenda ng Marcos administration.
Ayon kay Romualdez, “It also emphasizes the importance of unity and cooperation among all political parties. This is a critical message at a time when the country is facing a number of challenges.”
Aniya, “We have a lot of work ahead of us. By working together, we can help address these challenges and build a better future for our fellow Filipinos.”
Sa nilagdaang alliance agreement, committed ang mga partido na ibigay ang buong suporta hindi lang sa legislative agenda ng administrasyon kundi maging sa liderato ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., at House Speaker Romualdez hanggang sa mag-adjourn ang 19th Congress sa 2025.
“Both parties agree to give their full and unqualified support to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, 19th Congress, Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez,” nakasaad sa nilagdaang kasunduan.
Naniniwala naman si Romualdez na wala nang banta sa kaniyang liderato sa pagpapanatili ng super majority sa Kamara.
Matatandaan na una nang nagpahatid ng statement of support ang mga nasabing partido sa liderato ni Romualdez, matapos umugong ang isyu ng coup de etat kasunod ng demotion sa pagiging senior deputy speaker ni dating Pangulo at Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Matapos itanggi ni Gng. Arroyo ang alegasyon, nilinis din nito ang pag-u-ugnay kay First Lady Lisa Araneta-Marcos sa nasabing coup attempt sa pagsasabing insulto sa Unang Ginang at sa katalinuhan nito ang nasabing “political fantasy.”
