VP Sara Duterte kumalas na sa Lakas-CMD

Nagbitiw bilang miyembro ng Lakas-CMD si Vice President Sara Duterte.

“This is to announce my irrevocable resignation as a Lakas-CMD member effective today,” panimulang pahayag ni Duterte sa kaniyang statement.

Hindi idinetalye ng bise-presidente ang dahilan sa kaniyang pagbibitiw ngunit binanggit nito ang na hindi magpapalason sa “political toxicity” o ng “nakakasuklam na power play” ang pagtitiwala ibinigay sa kaniya ng publiko.

“I am here today because of the trust of the Filipino people in me to lead and serve them and the country, and this cannot be poisoned by political toxicity or undermined by execrable political power play,” pahayag pa ni Duterte.

Binigyang-diin ni VP Sara ang halaga ng kaniyang pagsisilbi sa sambayanan sa ilalim ng pangunguna ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

“Nothing is more important to me than being able to meaningfully serve our fellow Filipinos and the Philippines — with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. leading the way. Trust that my word, my commitment will be immutable,” pagdidiin pa ni Duterte.

Nanawagan din ito sa mga lider ng bansa na ituon ang panahon para gawing matatag at malakas ang bansa.

“I call on all leaders to focus on the work that must be done and leave a legacy of a strong and stable homeland,” pahayag pa ni Duterte.

Nagtawid-bakod sa Lakas-CMD si Duterte noong 2021 bago nagdesisyong tumakbo bilang vice president.

Nagpasalamat naman ito sa suportang ibinigay sa kaniya ng partido.

“I am grateful to all the party members for the support that also once demonstrated that unity is possible to advance our shared dreams for our fellow Filipinos and our beloved country,” pahayag pa ni Duterte.
