Bagong Executive Director ng Anti-Money Laundering Council, itinalaga

May bago nang executive director ang Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) Secretariat.

Ito ay si Atty. Matthew David na dating  Investigation and Enforcement Department Director ng AMLC Secretariat.

Nagsilbi rin si David na Deputy Director ng Office of the General Counsel at Legal Services ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

Pinalitan ni David sa puwesto si Atty. Mel Georgie Racela na natapos ang termino noong Agosto 17.

Alinsunod sa Section 8 ng Republic Act 9160 o  Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2001, ang AMLC ay otorisado na magtatag ng secretariat na pamumunuan ng executive director na itatalaga ng council para sa limang taong termino.

Si David ay may degree sa Master of Laws in Finance mula sa Institute for Law and Finance sa Goethe-Frankfurt University sa Germany.

Nagtapos din siya ng Bachelor of Laws at Bachelor of Arts in Political Science sa UP Diliman.
